Ivan is a purebred 6.5 pound Pomeranian who somehow ended up in a large Atlanta animal shelter. The shelter veterinarian immediately recognized a great little guy when he saw one, and appealed to ACR to save him. Despite his recent rought times, Ivan has clearly known the good life in the past. He loves people and animals alike and expects everyone to love him right back, which they do! He has a very sweet temperament and is never needy or demanding – he waits patiently and expectantly for you to give him some love and attention. He does the Pomeranian Happy Dance (spinning in circles and wagging his tail) whenever he gets a kind word, treat, or sees the leash in anticipation of a walk. Ivan is a sweet little clown who makes it impossible to stop smiling! He loves to cuddle and will happily accept a soft doggie bed if a human lap isn’t available. He likes to bring his toys to bed with him and will make quite a pile before he settles in to nap. Like most tiny dogs, Ivan would be happiest in a home with no small children.
