Stella is a chihuahua mix with a little body and big expressive eyes. We found her at Athens Animal Control, with what looked like a broken leg, probably from being hit by a car. After some time and much money, Stella is fixed up and ready for a permanent home. She still has a limp, but it doesn't hold her back one whit. She's a peppy, happy seven pounder who can run like a tiny cheetah and negotiates stairs without a problem. Her foster mom even thinks she'd be a good candidate for agility competitions! She loves car rides and unlike many little dogs, She isn't a yapper. She's learning basic obedience commands and is a good pupil. Because Stella is so small and delicate, she must go to a home without very young children. She also doesn't like other animals much, so she needs a home where she is the only dog. She currently lives with a doberman in her foster home, and she does tolerate him because he completely ignores her or defers to her. Stella doesn't need a lot of exercise - one or two short walks a day will satisfy her. She also requests that her future family keep her covered up in stuffies - she adores her stuffed toys- fetching them and playing tug with her humans.
