“The only thing you ever had to do to make me happy was come home at the end of the day.” – President Bartlet, The West Wing
Welcome Andi! This sweet little girl is around 4 years old and weighs just over 20 pounds. She was such a good mama to our (all now adopted!) West Wing litter. After watching all her babies find loving furever homes, this precious girl is ready to find one of her own!
Andi is such a smart girl. She’s already housebroken and is making lots of progress with her crate training! Andi will happily follow a treat into her crate, but she loves to be with her people and doesn’t want to miss anything fun! She’s still getting used to being left alone in her crate, but with time she will learn that her crate is a safe place for her to wait for her people to come home for snuggles. Andi will sleep through the night in her crate comfortably and greet her people with excitement for the new day once they’re up and about. She is able to keep her crate clean overnight and can wait several hours between potty breaks when out of her crate during the day.
Andi has been doing so well meeting some new dog friends! She has had a couple playdates and has had a blast. She loves getting out and meeting new friends, but she may not be quite ready for a dog park experience just yet. Andi does best with slow introductions to potential playmates, but once she’s comfortable with them, she has bunches of fun. She has even been cuddling with her dog friend on the couch during downtime. With people, Andi can be a little shy at first, but once she’s confident, she’ll be your best bud forever! She gives cute little nose kisses and cuddles up on the couch for some quality time with her foster parents.
Andi has been taking some time for herself and learning new tricks now that her babies are safe and happy. She knows “sit,” “crate,” “paw,” (and “other paw!”) and “catch.” She loves showing off her skills at catching treats mid-air! When she’s feeling playful, she’ll grab a toy and bring it to foster mom to try and start a game of fetch.
When asked, “want outside?” Andi gets SO excited and runs over to her leash so she can go explore! She loves going on walks around the neighborhood to take in the sights and smells. After building up some confidence by staying close to home, foster mom started taking Andi on longer walks and hikes. It doesn’t matter where she goes, so long as she has her favorite people by her side to make her feel safe.
Andi has so much love to give, and she can’t wait to meet her people so she can give them all the nose kisses and cuddles they want. Do you think Andi may be the perfect cuddle bug for you? Contact us today!
