“You learn to live like an animal in the jungle that we play!” Axl (Rose) from Guns ‘N Roses in their hit song “Welcome to the jungle”
Meet Axl! This pitty x hound mix is around 7 months old, and weighs ~37 pounds. We think he’ll top out a little over 50 pounds once full grown.
Axl is housebroken! He hasn’t had a single accident in Foster Mom’s home, sleeps through the night, and is overall a rockstar of a puppy. Axl is also crate trained, and treats his kennel as his personal cave. His kennel is his safe space, where he will gladly go in without having to be asked, and just dog/people watch. Besides having great house skills, Axl’s Foster Mom has told us that when he gets excited his whole body wiggles and he lets out a couple excited squeaks. 😊
Axl is a very friendly dog! We haven’t seen him around cats yet, but due to his submissive demeanor we think he’d be a fine feline companion. He also does great with other dogs, Axl basically just wants to be friends with every person and animal he meets! 😊 Axl also loves going to the dog park! Trips to the dog park give Axl the confidence boost he needs, and allow him to pick up on rules other dogs have already mastered (like leash manners)! Overall, Axl is very laid back, especially for a puppy. His current energy level is satisfied by playing in the yard with his dog friends, but he will gladly go to the dog park to get his energy out too.
Fully recovered from non-contagious demodectic mange (demodex), all this pup needs is a forever home. If you think you are a great fit for Axl, contact us today!
