“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” – A. A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Welcome Baxter! Baxter is a 7 month old, 40 pound puppy who will top out around 60-70 pounds once full grown. This fella loves making friends and playing with his toys!

Want all that puppy love, but aren’t up for potty training or kennel training? Then Baxter is your man! He is fully potty trained, and signals by going to the back door when he needs to go. He will go into his kennel for a treat, and will either entertain himself with his Nylabone or rest until Foster Mom returns. Foster Mom and Baxter have been working on learning the commands “sit,” “come,” and “leave it.” He is very food motivated, so that makes training him a little easier!

If we had to use just one word to describe Baxter, it would be “playful.” He is playful with everyone he meets – no matter the species or age! Baxter enjoys passing time by playing with Foster Mom’s personal dog, and loves to jump around and have fun. He takes redirection really well from other dogs, respecting when they don’t want to play. He recently hung out with a child and did well with them, so Baxter could make a great addition to a family with kids!

Baxter loves to get attention, but isn’t demanding about it. He also absolutely loves to play with his toys – you’ll often find him trotting around the house carrying them! While he can get some energy out with his toys, Baxter does need another outlet to make sure that he’s content. He gets so excited at the thought of walks, and we think that with a little training Baxter would make a great jogging, running, or hiking partner once he’s older!

Ready to bring Baxter into your family? Then contact us today – he can’t wait to play with you!
