Chester – Adoption Pending!
Introducing Chester! Mr. Chester is only about 14lbs and he is a Miniature Pinscher mix. He’s 3 years old and the sweetest little pup! When he has to go potty, he signals to his foster mom – what a smart guy! He’s also crate trained 🙂
Chester has never been around cats, but seeing as how he is smaller than most of them, he’d probably be fine. On walks, he seems curious but doesn’t fixate on them. He absolutely loves squirrels though! Shy-guy Chester has been around children ages 6 and up and is a little nervous at first but then warms up and is fine. His general disposition is a bit unsure, but once he is comfortable you can tell how much he loves the attention! Being around other dogs is very helpful for getting him to come out of his shell so a home with some 4-legged siblings is probably best. Though he hasn’t been very playful, he’s starting to venture out and play with his current canine siblings.
Dog parks allow Chester to be exposed to a variety of humans and dogs; though he is shy with other people, offering him a treat or seeing other dogs around them give him a boost of confidence. He is such a sweet dog, just a little timid. If you’re looking for a laid back pal, Chester is perfect for you! His excitement comes when it’s time to eat or when Foster Mom returns home after being gone all day. Outside of that, he pretty much likes sitting on the couch or chewing on a toy. A couple of short walks or one long one would suffice to keep him stimulated, which isn’t a lot at all!
Little Chester absolutely loves attention but is not super demanding. If Foster Mom is busy, he’s good about finding something else to do. Bene Bones are his favorite toys and doesn’t seem to be interested in stuffed toys, ropes or balls. All-in-all, he’s a pretty easy pup! He’s gotten along with everyone and doesn’t get himself into trouble.
If you’re looking for a unique pupster who can fit in your lap and be your tiny couch potato, Chester is your man! You could help build up his confidence just a little more, but overall he is just the sweetest thing. And look at him! He’s like a Min Pin with long fur, but it’s sable (like a German Shepherd)! Hurry and put in your application!
