Crate Trained!!!!

Nearly Housebroken!

“I don’t know whether this is the best of times or the worst of times, but I assure you it’s the only time you’ve got. You can either sit on your a** or pick a daisy.”

–Art Buchwald

Welcome Daisy! This sweet little 5-year-old has been through the wringer with some health issues, but she’s finally healthy and ready for adoption!

Daisy is fully crate trained and sleeps through the night in there like a dream. She’s happy to go in on her own at other times, too, but if she thinks you’re about to leave her alone, she might try to hide, instead. (What? She just loves you so much!) As for housetraining, she’s nearly there, and with consistency she should be 100% in no time. Although Daisy is just starting to learn basic commands, she’s hoping you’ll just look at that cute face and opt for a snuggle, instead.

We haven’t seen Daisy around cats or kids, yet, but she’s such a love with humans and other dogs, we suspect she’d be fine. Daisy is down to play with her four-legged friends whenever and wherever (though if they’re a bit larger than she is, she may need some time to warm up). Despite any signs to the contrary, however, her main goal in life seems to become a Champion Couch Potato Pal. You know you’ve been meaning to Netflix-binge that new show, so why not grab Daisy and have at it? She’s game to cuddle up for as long as it takes!

Daisy is a true sweetheart with plenty to say–her foster dad reports she’s an entertaining “talker,” vocalizing various noises and squeaks on the regular. (She is not a big barker, though.) If you can lure her off the couch, she’s game for short walks or sessions at the dog park. While her exercise needs are light and she’s most often characterized as laid back, she may get bored without sufficient stimulation (read: pets! love!) and attempt some counter-surfing or trash exploration if left alone and uncrated. The solution, obviously, is to crate her when you’re out, or–better yet–just hang out with her all the time.
