“A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” ― John Grogan, Marley and Me: Life and Love With the World’s Worst Dog
Introducing Ember! This 5 month old gal is up to a healthy weight of 12 pounds, and will likely end up weighing between 15-20 pounds full grown. Ember has already won over her canine-roommates (including ACR adoptables Scrat and Waldorf), melted Foster Mom’s heart with her goofy personality, and shown that she would be a great fit for any family!
Ember is kennel trained! She runs to her kennel whenever she hears her food bowl picked up, and has sweet dreams in the kennel while Foster Mom is away. Potty training was put on hold for Ember, as we wanted to focus on getting her up to a healthy weight. Since being able to focus more on that, Ember has learned that when she’s outside she should go potty. She still has a few accidents, but she should be fully potty trained soon! She is very food motivated, and has learned the commands “sit,” “off,” and “go to bed.”
Whether you’re a familiar face or a new one, expect for Ember to want to snuggle with you! She absolutely loves getting attention, and loves giving kisses to her pals. But, don’t let Ember’s size fool you – she’s a confident gal who will happily wrestle with a dog 4x her size! She will give a little squawk if a bigger dog squishes her, but understands it was an accident. She has a playful and sassy demeanor, which makes this social butterfly love everyone – be they small humans, cats, or other dogs! And even though she’s a puppy, she can respect when another dog tells her that they don’t want to play.
Ready to Ready to give Ember the life she deserves? Then contact us today, she can’t wait to meet you!
