Hagrid – Adopted!!!
“‘You think it – wise – to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?’
‘I would trust Hagrid with my life,’ said Dumbledore.”
-J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Welcome Hagrid! This BIG boy weighs in around 120 pounds at around 4 years old. Hagrid has been with ACR for a few months recovering from some medical issues, but he is feeling good and ready to meet his new family!
Hagrid is already housebroken and crate trained! This smart boy hasn’t ever had an accident in the house, and he will even let you know he needs to go out. Hagrid doesn’t mind spending time in his crate, but he prefers to be hanging out with his crew any chance he can get. He’s a definite people-dog! He likes to keep tabs on where his people are at all times, and if you aren’t careful and don’t shut the door all the way, he’ll sneak up on you in the bathroom just to make sure everything is going okay in there!
Hagrid lives with several other dogs and loves spending time and playing around with them. He’s got a few that have become his favorite friends; most of the ones he’s partial to come from the Gryffindor House. Hagrid is a laid back boy, and he gets a little frisky and likes to chase and tackle his foster parents or siblings when he plays. Most of the time, he prefers to lay around, and now that the weather has cooled off a bit, Hagrid loves spending all of his free time basking outside in the sunshine!
With people, Hagrid will walk right up to them and is always thrilled to meet a new smiling face and to receive some belly rubs, and he loves people even more if they’ll chase him around the yard for a bit. Hagrid’s got quite the set of vocal cords, and he likes to use his adorable husky-like yodel to tell you all about his day. It’s rare to find a pup as cuddly as Hagrid. He may look like a lumbering giant, but he’s a big softy on the inside. His favorite time of day for some snuggles is right when he wakes up or right before bed, but he’ll take them whenever you’re willing! Hagrid likes to show off his tricks too: so far, he knows how to “sit,” “leave it,” and “lay down,” but he’s working on adding more to his list!
He is such a goofy boy who is sure to make you smile all the time with his constant rolling over, cute whimpers, and rowdy tackling, and his squishy face is just begging for some kisses. Do you think this giant could be a good addition to your family? Contact us today!
