“Some of the best stuff can be written out of dire times.” – Izzy Stradlin
Introducing Izzy! This stunning girl weighs about 50 pounds and has legs for DAYS. She is about a year old and is looking for a family that will show her that the best is yet to come.
Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands
Izzy is learning the life of an indoor dog. Although she has not been in the house unsupervised, she also has not had a single accident. Good girl! Izzy does very well in the crate, keeping it clean overnight and staying quiet until it’s time to come out. If she is reluctant to go in her crate, she can easily be convinced with a treat. Izzy does not know any commands just yet as she is taking much needed time to adjust to her new life.
Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids
Izzy has been around other dogs but has not figured out how to play just yet. She wants to… she just doesn’t know how! Izzy has been around some bigger kids aged 11-13 and can be quite shy and unsure at first. Slow and structured introductions are best to allow her some time to warm up.
Behavior around People
In general, Izzy is shy around new people and a bit fearful in new situations. She just needs some time to warm up and then she lets her sweet side show.
Izzy is content with any amount of exercise at the moment. She has an interest in being playful but is still figuring out how to be a dog. Stay tuned as we learn more about Izzy!
