Introducing Jackie! Jackie is a 12lb Jack Russel Terrier mix and is only 3 years old. This sweet and affectionate pup is devoted to her people and always wants to be with them. Spending her entire day in your lap is where she wants to be!
Looking for cuddles? Jackie is too. Snuggling on the sofa or curling up beneath a blanket is her favorite place to nap. Jackie is a sweet little pup that enjoys as much attention as she can soak up. She currently lives with 6 other dogs relatively close to her size and gets along with all of them. Introducing new pups one-on-one in a structured manner is best with Jackie, but once she gets to know them, she does great! If her canine companion wants to play, she’s all about it! But for those who aren’t so keen on wrestling are given their space as Jackie is very respectful. She, too, will let them know if she is not in the mood to play. Jackie has proven to play favorites and has become best friends with one of the smaller males in her pack. He can get away with just about anything while the others need to make sure they mind their manners.
Jackie is fully housebroken and crate trained. She doesn’t signal when she needs to go out, but she does her business as soon as she is given an opportunity. When it’s time to go in her crate, she runs in after treats with no problem. Sleeping through the night is no problem at all as she’s a true gem! With new surroundings, Jackie can be a bit shy at first but once she feels comfortable, she comes right out of her shell! Loud noises (like power tools) scare her, but otherwise, she is pretty chill.
When Jackie gets to run around outside, she plays a whole lot with her doggy-sibling, Remus. For the most part, she’s a lap dog who just wants to be a part of the people pack. But with the right buddies, she can be a playful little gal! Indoors, she’s mellow and outdoors she goes with the flow. Taking walks is one of her favorite forms of exercise, but with the right buddies, playing it out in the yard is acceptable.
Overall, Jackie loves attention but is content when she needs to settle on her own. When her energy peaks, she is just like a jack rabbit, running and bouncing all around the yard, dodging her 4-legged friends. When Foster Mom works on her computer, Jackie likes to sit right between Mom and the back of the chair, filling up that space and burrowing in between. Her little brain has those wheels turning as she has learned how to sit for treats. Sure, she gets a bit excited at meal time and jumps a good bit, showing how much she LOVES her meals! But Foster Mom makes her mind her manners before she is served and she’s improving immensely!
Jackie is a great little lap dog who loves to love you. It’s clear that her people mean the world to her and she can’t wait to find her forever home!
