“The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.”
Welcome Jinks! This big goofy boy weighs in at 55 pounds and is around 1 year old. We don’t expect him to get bigger than he already is — only cuter (if that’s even possible).
Jinks is already housebroken and crate-trained. He sleeps through the night in his crate and keeps it clean, and he’s working on how to let his foster mom know when it’s time for her to take him out. Impressively, this pup hasn’t had a single accident inside, so he’s able to wait until a good time to do his business. Jinks will follow a treat into his crate, and he will happily hang out there quietly until it’s time to come out. He’s working on entering his crate on command, and he should have that down pretty soon. In the past few weeks, Jinks has made excellent progress with learning to sit on command too; he’s such a smart boy!
Jinks lives with a few other doggy brothers and gets along with them very well, but cats are likely a no-go for this boy. Jinks recently went to the dog park with some of his fellow ACR adoptables, and he had a great time with everyone large and small! He especially loves anyone that can run and romp with him, but he’ll happily accept whatever playmate comes his way. “Play all day” is really the only thing on Jinks’ to-do list, and he loves crossing it off!
When it comes to meeting new people, he is a confident boy. He loves to give kisses, climb into people’s laps, and get lots of affection. When he takes a quick rest from playing, he likes to be as close to people as possible for some cuddles, but he’s working on giving people a little more personal space. As most of us do, Jinks likes a nice nap on the couch. Foster Mom says that he is quite the dreamer: he yips, yelps, and chases squirrels in his sleep, but when he catches one, he settles and snores like a train.
