housebroken!

Meet Milla!! Milla is a sweet cattledog mix that weighs around 40 lbs, and since she’s around four years old she’s already full grown! She was recently treated for heartworms, but is all better now!

You don’t have to worry about potty-training or crate training Milla, she already has that down! Her Foster Mom says that she only barks in her crate if she thinks she is being left out of something really fun – but if Foster Mom asks her to quiet down she does! Her crate is slowly but surely becoming a nice safe space for her, as she’ll go in on her own sometimes if she wants a nap (she snores) or some private chewing time. She also has nice house manners and doesn’t jump on human friends – she will politely request pets though! Foster Mom and Milla are still working on some other house manners though – like not thinking that everyone is offering her a taste of the food they have. As we think Milla spent a lot of time outside in the previous chapter of her life, she is just exploring and trying to figure out what everything is and what the rules are! Milla is a fast learner though, quickly picking up the “do’s” and “don’ts” of House Rules 101.

Want a social, confident dog to take to the dog park? Look no further – Milla did amazing when Foster Mom took her! She ran and played some, but was more interested in sniffing and exploring. She snorts and snuffs as she explores, so even if she is exploring in tall grass you’ll be able to know where this little piggy is. Milla is great with other dogs, loving to run around and wrestle when it’s playtime, and settles down for a nice nap after a good romp. She’s also met cats, where we found that she is fine with assertive (but patient) cats, but probably wouldn’t be best in a home with a fearful cat. She also was a rock star at one of our adoption events, letting all the kids pet and hug her, loving every moment of it! We think that she’d be happy with a family that could provide her some nice doggy playdates, a short park trip, and/or some walks to get her energy out!

Overall, this little piggy is would be great for anyone who wants a dog with enough energy for the dog park, but also relaxed enough to snuggle on the couch! She’s still learning the ropes of everything, but we think she’d make the perfect fit for a lucky family. Contact us today if you think you’d be a great fit for lil Miss Milla!
