Welcome Myrtle! Myrtle is a ~1 year old staffy mix, and weighs 45 pounds.
Myrtle is nearly housebroken! She has only had one accident with her Foster Mom, so she nearly has the hang of it! With consistent potty breaks we think she’ll have this skill down in no time. Myrtle is also crate trained! She walks in on command, sleeps throughout the night, and just goes into the crate if she wants a quiet place to nap. Safe to say, she loves her crate! 😊
Myrtle is also good with cats! She met some cats at the vet, and left them alone after giving them a quick sniff. Myrtle is also a dog’s best friend – she currently has many canine foster-siblings and does well with them. She can be a little shy and submissive around new canine friends, but quickly understands when the new dog wants to be a new friend. Soon after that you can find Myrtle and her new BFF wrestling, running, and otherwise playing with each other! As far as energy goes, a couple short walks or some play sessions at home should be enough to keep Myrtle content.
While Myrtle loves to play with other dogs, she would rather spend that time cuddled up with her person. She is a dog who loves affection, and will gladly find a way to get any pets she can out of you! Foster Mom even told us that Myrtle also wants to give back some of that attention to her favorite people… through gently nibbling on Foster Mom’s toes. 😂
