Pascal – Adopted!!!
Pascal: noun /ˈpask(ə)l/ the ACR unit of cuteness, equal to one chihuahua x terrier per dog
Meet Pascal! This ~1 year old chihuahua x terrier is 10 lbs worth of cuteness! ACR hasn’t had him for long, but we can already tell that he is an easy going guy that would be a great addition to any family!
Want all the love of a puppy without having to deal with potty training or crate training them? Then Pascal is the man for you! He can keep his crate clean for up to an eight hour workday/overnight, and will gladly go into his crate for food, a toy, a treat, and sometimes even if his Foster Mom says, “kennel please.” He’ll whine for about two minutes when he first goes in, but after that he’s too busy dreaming about snuggles. He definitely prefers to sleep with his Foster Mom vs in the crate, and just likes to sleep with his head on her chest! His only accidents have been when he was scared (e.g., people moving to fast around him) – and that was just a little submissive dribble, which is understandable for a small pup! Otherwise, he’ll whine at Foster Mom, paw at his crate door, or trot to the door to signal to Foster Mom that he has to go.
Pascal is also amazing with siblings of all breeds and species! So far he has lived with cats and dogs, and has been around children without a problem! He was a little curious about the cats that he lives with, but they aren’t the biggest fan of dogs so he leaves them alone. 😊 With dogs he is playful from the get-go! His current BFF is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd, so he is truly great with dogs of any size. Foster Mom thinks he would make a great dog-park dog, as he is respectful of when others need space but also very playful and friendly! While he can play for ages, he doesn’t need a lot of exercise to keep him happy and content. Since he is so small, he probably wouldn’t make a good running partner, but he could give you lots of kisses when you return from your run!
While Pascal loves to cuddle, he isn’t overly needy – he can entertain himself if need be. However, his future family should probably also love cuddles, because he’s his happiest when he’s snuggling next to family. 😊
