“All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.” – Charles M Schulz

Introducing Perdue! Perdue is currently around eight months old and weighs a hefty 53 pounds. As she’s still growing, it’s estimated that she’ll get up to around 70 pounds, but that’s just an estimate for this pretty girl!

Our girl Perdue has nearly got the hang of housetraining! She can hold it all day and hasn’t had an accident at all with Foster Mom! Perdue, however, is stubborn (aren’t we all?) and would much rather spend her time outside of her crate. She requires a tasty treat to lure her inside, but once she’s in, she settles and will lay down for a nap promptly! She’s got sit down, and is currently working on “stay”.

Perdue does great with other dogs! She wants to play but respects boundaries and other dogs’ social cues! She’d make a great dog park dog, or would mold well with a family who has other dogs! Perdue recently met some cats and while curious about them, she did not seem interested in chasing or harassing them.

This sweet girl LOVES humans and will ask for attention or pets from everyone she meets! She gives kisses out like candy and will rest her paw by you to remind you that she is always available for a good belly rub or cuddle!

Perdue is pretty flexible with her energy level. She likes to lounge around and nap for most of the day, but when it’s time to play, Perdue comes alive! She loves to be outside and go on walks, which she does 1-2 miles a day! She’s as flexible as you can ask for in terms of a family dog!

True to her nature, Perdue is extremely affectionate! She melts into a puddle when you pet her and almost immediately flips over for a belly rub! She’s just the right amount of needy at the moment! Her temperament is the best thing about her, according to her Foster Mom. You won’t meet a sweeter, more loving dog!
