Meet Radar! Radar is right around a year old and weighs about 45lbs. Being a Hound/German Shepard mix, he may get a little larger but shouldn’t exceed the mid 50’s. With his adorable single-standing ear, his name only suits him!
Radar loves playing with other dogs and would do best in a home with a 4-legged friend to wrestle with, or regular trips to the dog park. There’s not an aggressive bone in this boy’s body. Radar just loves his 5 temporary brothers and sisters (of all ages) and is simply a happy-go-lucky type of guy. When first meeting a new pup, he can be a little shy. It doesn’t take long before he’s romping around though! Loud noises and sudden movements cause him to be slightly skittish, but nothing dramatic – he just braces himself for a second, realizes life is still good, and goes along his merry way!
Getting a dog that is already housebroken and crate trained can be hard to find, but Radar has managed to master both! At first, he wasn’t thrilled to go into his crate, but now he’s a champ. All he does is sleeps, perks up for a minute if he hears something, then curls back up for some more snoozin’. Foster Mom has a Nest Cam so she can spy on him while she’s out.
Getting some regular exercise or play dates is important for Radar. Typically, he’s alert but not anxious, just looking for someone to play with! As a true go-with-the-flow dog, he is happy to rest when everyone else is doing so. Daily walks or runs would keep him properly exercised, or a yard with a fence and another playmate would be great too! Radar is just Mr. Happy and loves living life.
Finding the perfect fit of a dog can be tough, but Radar seems to be a great mix of everything you could possibly need! His sweet temperament, happy-go-lucky attitude and playfulness with other pups and humans makes for the perfect fit in just about any home. You’re probably already on his radar!
