“Take me down to the dog park city / Where the grass is green and the dogs are pretty” – (Axl) Rose in the Guns N’ Roses song “Dog park city”
Welcome Rose! Rose is a ~1 year old pitty x boxer mix, and weighs around 35 pounds!
Rose is housebroken AND crate trained!! She has not had an accident in Foster Mom’s house, and sleeps through the night! Rose also loves her kennel, and knows to go in when told. But, she treats her crate as her personal cave, sometimes just going in there on her own to relax! When she’s not relaxing in her crate, she likes to go find a friend to play with. Like a lot of young dogs, Rose has a decent energy level. She would do best with a family who has a canine-friend to play with, or who is able to take her to the dog park and long walks on a regular basis to get all her energy out.
Rose does fantastic with canine friends! Rose is a pretty confident pup, and has yet to meet a dog that she didn’t want to be friends with. While Foster Mom hasn’t seen her around feline-friends yet, due to her friendly demeanor we think that she would be curious around cats but overall respectful. Rose is also great with kids! She was at our local farmers market and interacted with kids of all ages, including babies, and was very gentle with them.
Rose absolutely loves affection. She sometimes gets so excited that she can’t keep all four paws on the ground and her butt gets super wiggly! She would love to be part of a family that loves to give and get attention!
