Ruby – Pup of the Week!
Ruby is our Pup of the Week!
“Don’t follow the path. Go where there is no path and begin the trail. When you start a new trail equipped with courage, strength and conviction, the only thing that can stop you is you! -Ruby Bridges”
Welcome Ruby! This 6 month old, 43 pound pup is eager to please and loves to hang out with her foster siblings and people!
Ruby is working on kennel and potty training. She’s nearly got potty training down! She knows that she’s supposed to be going potty outside and is trying her best. Ruby will go into her kennel for a treat, complaining for a little while before settling down to nap until foster mom returns. But, she is getting better at not complaining as much, so given a little more time she should have that down, too. She currently knows the command “sit,” and is currently working on “stay” and “down”.
Ruby is great with kids! She met a ton of children at a recent adoption event, and just about died of happiness. All she wanted to do was crawl in the kids laps and get some belly rubs. 😊 She is currently the only dog in her foster home, but has lived with a few in the past and did well! She is generally a submissive pup, but enjoys a good energetic with her friends. Short walks and the occasional trip to the dog park would be good to get all her wiggles out. Ruby is a great running partner! She goes on runs everyday with Foster Mom and thrives! But she’s also able to cuddle and chill on the couch if that’s what her people are doing.
Ruby l-o-v-e-s attention. She is starting to learn the boundaries between needy and affectionate, and how to contain her excitement when meeting new friends! Ruby would love a family who wants to shower her with affection with snuggles and belly rubs. She dreams of being a lap dog and enjoys giving her people lots of kisses and neck nuzzles. 💛
