“So often in life, things that you regard as an impediment turn out to be great, good fortune.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Welcome Ruthie! This sweet brindle girl is seven years young and weighs in at around twenty-five pounds, and she is just about perfect according to her Foster Mom!
Ruthie is completely housebroken and crate trained! This well-trained girl hasn’t had a single accident in the house the entire time that she’s been with us, and she will sleep peacefully (and quietly!) throughout the night in her crate. If her humans are running an errand that she can’t help with, she’ll happily keep herself occupied or settle in for a nap until they return. In addition to her crate-training and housebreaking, Ruthie is working on her tricks too! She is currently working on being able to “sit” and “stay” on command, and she should have that down in no time.
Ruthie is very kid- and dog-friendly, and she’s looking forward to completing her dream family! Even though she has gotten along well with all of the dogs that she’s met, she’s definitely a people-doggo: when she is on a walk in the park and passes a family with dogs, she heads straight to the people and kids to say introduce herself and get some pets from them before moving on to say hi to her canine friends! For doggy playmates, Ruthie prefers dogs that are her size or small, but she doesn’t mind bigger dogs either; she’s pretty easy-going! Ruthie would prefer a home without cats and be able to devote all of her love and attention to human or canine family members.
This girl is just about as sweet as she could possibly be, and she loves to get outside and explore all the world has to offer. She can lounge on the couch with the best of ‘em, but she likes to get some fresh air! Regular walks, hikes, and sometimes a trip to the dog park would be great exercise for Ruthie, and since she’s had some good practice over the last few weeks, her leash skills make her an easy pup to take for a stroll (unless she sees a squirrel — those are just too exciting!).
Ruthie is the kind of dog that spreads happiness to everyone she meets, and she can’t wait to meet her new family and make them smile with her every day. Could it be yours? Contact us today!
