Sandy Cheeks

“Home is where you’re surrounded by other critters that care about ya!”
Sandy Cheeks, Spongebob Squarepants
Introducing Sandy Cheeks!
With her unique looks and soft eyes, we have all fallen victim to her cute ways. At just 6 months old, Sandy weighs in at about 30 pounds and likely should end up around 40-45 when she’s full grown – a perfect medium-sized girl.
Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands
Sandy is housetrained! She sits by the door when she’s gotta go, letting you know it’s time to go out! She sleeps through the night and is great just hanging out during the day.
She’s also crate trained! She’ll happily go into her crate for a treat. She’s also been known to use her crate to stash her toys and any other goods that come into her possession throughout the day… like foster dad’s slipper!
Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids
Though Sandy hasn’t been around cats, she has been around dogs and children. She is great with both! She met some children at an adoption event and just enjoyed their attention.
She lives with other dogs in her foster home. She loves her canine foster siblings and would be great in a home with other dogs. She loves playing with her foster siblings to get her puppy energy out and can even, sometimes, be found using them as a (albeit uncomfy) seat!
Behavior around People
Sandy Cheeks is happy to get attention from people. She gets a little overwhelmed if there are a ton of people (me too, girl) but otherwise is excited to meet new friends who will play with her! Right now, she’s more interested in getting to play than being pet, but will sometimes relax on the couch hoping for some scratches.
Exercise Needs
This girl has got puppy energy and thus loves to play! She loves playing with her foster siblings, but is happy to chew on a bone or toy if they’re not feeling up to it.
