Stella – Adoption Pending!
“…I want to be fearless and free. It’s just life, Will. It’II be over before we know it.” ―Stella Grant, character in Five Feet Apart, written by Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Ianconis
Welcome Stella! This happy gal is a year old and about 57 pounds, but should weigh closer to 65 pounds after she fills out a little more. Stella is a sweet and smart pup, and is very trainable!
Stella is kennel trained and housebroken. She will go into her kennel on her own, and relaxes after a few minutes of her foster parents being gone. Stella has already learned the commands “sit,” “leave it,” “watch me,” “wait,” “let’s go,” and “stand” and is starting to learn the commands “lay down” and “shake.” Go Stella! She is very eager to learn, and is food motivated, making her a great pup to learn a laundry list of tricks.
Stella absolutely loves hanging around people, and is always happy to say hello! She is working on becoming more comfortable around other dogs. With people she is very patient and sociable, and has done well around older (10-12 years old) kids. As far as energy goes, Stella has a moderate amount. She doesn’t need heavy-duty exercise, but some long walks and good play sessions are necessary to make sure she gets all her wiggles out. Besides that, Stella is content to relax with her family, entertain herself with chew toys, and sing along to any sirens that pass by.
