Learning Crate Training!

Learning House Breaking!

“Time for the charm bomb to explode.” – Tina Belcher, Bob’s Burgers

Introducing Tina!  This sweet girl is a young adult and weighs just under 9 pounds.  She is currently being treated for kennel cough but as soon as she is well, she will be ready to find a nice cozy lab to curl up on.

Tina is a smart girl and is quickly learning about house training.  Most of the time she will even signal at the door when she needs to go out (what a good girl!), but she is still learning the system and will forget the rules from time to time.  With a little more time and patience, Tina will surely have the system down.  Tina is already crate trained and keeps it free of accidents and sleeps peacefully through the night.

Tina currently lives with two dog siblings and does well with them.  She can be timid and unsure when meeting new dogs, but after slow and structured introductions, she becomes more comfortable.  Overall, the world is a bit of a scary place for Tina still but she is pretty quickly warming up.  Although she was timid with her foster mom at first, after a little time together she has become quite affectionate and will request frequent pets and cuddles.  When her foster mom sneezes, Tina will come running into the room to check on her to make sure she’s okay.  When her foster mom is busy, Tina is good to go in her crate, but can become a little concerned if her foster mom goes out of her sight.  She is learning how to self-entertain and self-soothe when her foster mom cannot always be right by her side.

Since Tina is recovering from kennel cough, she is enjoying short walks with her foster mom and two foster siblings.  We will learn more about her physical activity needs once she is feeling 100%, but so far she is very laid back and will happily nap during the day until it’s time for a stroll.  She is a big fan of blankets and makes her foster mom smile the way she likes to burrow in them like a groundhog.

Tina is an easygoing girl who really likes her people once she has had some time to get to know them.  She is still learning about the world but is quickly figuring out that it’s not so scary.  Are you ready to show Tina how great the world can be?  Contact us today!
