Waldorf – Pup of the Week!
Waldorf is our Pup of the Week!
“There’s not a word yet, for old friends who’ve just met” -Jim Hensen, creator of The Muppets
Welcome Waldorf! He is 12 years young and weighs only 9lbs. Waldorf caught his new foster mom’s eye with his adorable little pouty face. He gets along well with the other dogs he lives with, and we can’t wait to learn more about him!
Here’s the thing… Waldorf has a few quirks that make us not so sure if he is a dog, or an alien pretending to be a dog. First off, when he prances his legs move so quickly that it looks like he’s floating around the room. Secondly, he prefers his wet food to be served in bite-sized balls on the floor. We figure his old planet didn’t have any dog-toothpaste, which led to his bad teeth, and ultimately this interesting eating preference. Don’t worry, we’re getting his teeth treated. And finally, he turns his head from side to side when you talk to him. Okay, that may just be that he doesn’t know English and his hearing isn’t the best, but you get our point.
Besides that, Waldorf is your typical dog. He’s nearly potty trained, but is fully kennel trained! Given a little more time Waldorf will surely master potty training! He does well in his kennel, and rests peacefully in it until Foster Mom gets home. He’s pretty laid back, and generally just ignores other beings (except adults) to do his own thing, and is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Waldorf likes to get attention and snuggle some, but isn’t demanding about it. He will entertain himself by playing with plush toys, or the occasional game of being someone’s shadow (to learn more about the customs of Earth? maybe).
