Warden – Adopted!!!
“Did you know that there are over 300 words for love in canine?” – Gabriel Zevin, Author of Margarettown
Welcome Warden! This border collie look-alike is a year old and weighs about 42 pounds. He’s fully grown so he likely won’t get much bigger (but may get fluffier!).
Warden is learning house-training currently. He knows that you’re supposed to go potty outside, but doesn’t really know how to tell Foster Mom yet. He is, however, completely crate-trained! Warden keeps his crate cleaned, is comfortable and will go in on his own! He does think he’s the life of the party so will talk a bit when he first enters, but after a while, he’s good to go! He knows “sit” and “lay down”, and is learning “out”, “leave it”, “stay” and “wait”!
Predictably, this sweet little guy loves to play with other dogs! He’s still learning proper etiquette, but once he figures that out, he’ll be good to go to the dog park and hang out with other dogs! He is not, however, good with cats. Warden is too interested in feline friends and is likely to chase them rather than coexist peacefully.
Warden is relatively shy, but overcomes it quickly and is happy to befriend new people! He is pretty active, and will need mental stimulation, long walks, or trips to the park in order to get out his energy! His Foster Mom thinks once he has gained more confidence around traffic, he’d be a good pal for jogging. He is relatively clingy, and prefers to be around people or dogs. He currently goes to work with Foster Mom and does really well just hanging out in her office! He’s a really happy boy, and becomes loyal to the people he trusts and loves.
