Meet Blue! 

This absolute dapper boy is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs in at 37 pounds. 

Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands

Blue is housetrained! He knows that he should be going potty outside and will hold it until he’s out there. During the day when he’s hanging around the house, he’ll let everyone know he’s gotta go by pacing and sniffing around. When he had to go in the middle of the night, he whined until his foster mom woke up to let him out! 

He’s also doing pretty well with crate training! He is happy to spend the night quietly in his crate, but does argue a little when he’s put in there when foster mom leaves. He barks a little bit but quiets down relatively quickly. He is especially good in his crate when he’s got a treat to keep him busy (hint, hint!) 

He knows “sit” and is currently working on “crate” and “leave it”! 

Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids

While Blue has yet to meet any children or cats, he lives with two other dogs and has met a few others and does well with them! He loves to play when his foster siblings are willing, but will happily play by himself if they’re not up for it. He’s easily redirected and is all around a great pup to have around other dogs! 

Behavior around People

Blue loves meeting new people! He’s a very friendly, confident dog and loves to have the attention on him! He is happy to receive pets and can be seen wagging his tail more often than not! He will let you know when he wants attention, but is not so needy that he can’t hang out alone. 

His excitement is contagious and he often does a little “tippy tap” dance when he’s super happy (usually when there’s food or when he’s seeing you for the first time after being left in his crate!). 

Exercise Needs

Blue is probably around a medium energy level. He requires a walk or two throughout the day to get some of his energy out, but otherwise is pretty satisfied with tossing a toy around for himself and independently playing. Foster Mom thinks he’ll be a great running buddy for anyone who may be interested!
