“I’m an exception. I’m super tough.” – Uni, Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2
Introducing Uni! This 38-pound sweetie is around a year old and while she is a bit shy at first, her charming butt wiggles and kisses are worth the wait.
Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands
Uni has pleasantly surprised us with how quick she is adjusting to her new surroundings. She has already earned herself “officially house-trained” status! In fact, she’s never had an accident in the house. Uni is not as excited about her crate-training, on the other hand. She will go in on command (good girl!), but it takes her about 20 minutes to realize she must stay put until her foster mom is no longer busy. With a bit more patience and training, Uni is sure to achieve her “officially crate-trained” status in no time. In addition to her “crate” command, she also knows “sit” and is eager to learn more. Keep up the good work, Uni!
Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids
Uni is a bit shy overall, but once she’s had the chance to warm up, she loves making new dog friends! On a recent play date she fully enjoyed racing, chasing, and playing with her new best friend Athena. As for cats, Uni lives with a couple and is very curious about them. In fact, it seems like she might enjoy chasing one or both, so she might be best suited in a home without kitty friends.
Uni has met kids only as young as 13, and she was initially very fearful and unsure. She will need all people, especially younger ones, to go slow with her and give her time to warm up and show her endearing personality.
Behavior around People
Though Uni needs slower introductions, her sweet kisses and excited butt wiggles are totally worth the wait. Once she gains confidence and becomes more comfortable, as she has with her foster parents, she is a complete love bug and will be coming back again and again for more pets and snuggles. If you scratch her behind her ears in just the right spot, she makes the cutest little pig snorts!
Uni is a young dog with some energy to burn, but she is not hyperactive. She loves having playdates with dog friends and would do well on short or long walks. Uni is playful while also great at napping and snuggling whenever that is the vibe! Car rides are still very scary, but with a few more trips to the park, Uni is sure to learn that car rides lead to adventures and wonderful places and friends.
Uni is shy but sweet and working on gaining the confidence she deserves to take on the world with her new best friend. Think it could be you? Contact us today!
