Introducing Lenny!
This handsome gentleman is looking for his retirement home. He’s a spry 11 years old and weighs in at 16 pounds — the perfect size!
Housebreaking, Crate-Training, and Commands
Lenny is house trained and would much rather prefer to get his run of the house when left alone than to hang out in a crate.
Behavior around other Dogs, Cats, and Kids
Lenny is great with other dogs and is not reactive to them on walks, but when it comes to LIVING with other dogs, he does better with lower energy, more timid dogs compared to high energy or puppy energy, or more dominant dogs. He does love to run around with another dog and play tug of war if given the chance.
He is interested in cats around the neighborhood but he hasn’t been introduced to any cats. He can be obsessive with small animals like bunnies and will try to get into a cage or enclosure.
He grew up around children with the youngest child at 8. He can do great with kids if the kids don’t cross boundaries, such as tail pulling.
Behavior around People
This little guy is a very calm dog and loves to just be in the room with everyone, he doesn’t need constant one on one attention. Lenny makes friends with everyone he meets and tends to do very well meeting new people or going to new houses and places.
Exercise Needs
Lenny walks well on a leash and normally will walk right beside his foster mom without pulling… unless he sees a squirrel (which hey, don’t we all run a little faster when we see a squirrel?) Overall he is a very sweet, snuggly dog who has been described by many as a “chiller”. he just wants to spend time with people and is happy to just chill.
